좋은 건지 나쁜 건지 잘 모르겠지만 한 살 두 살 나이를 먹어가면서 조금씩 줄어드는 것이 있다…차이.
★ 맛이 있는 음식과 맛이 없는 음식의 차이가 줄어든다…그저 건강에 나쁘지 않은 음식이면 되고.
★ 큰 집과 작은 집의 차이가 줄어든다…그저 편안하기만 하면 되고.
★ 럭서리카와 이코노카의 차이가 줄어든다…그저 고장만 안 나면 되고.
★ 세계일주여행과 동네한바퀴의 차이가 줄어든다…그저 맥도날만 있으면 되고.
★ 연예인과 일반인을 보는 차이가 줄어든다…그저 착하기만 하면 되고.
★ 목사와 평신도를 대하는 차이가 줄어든다…그저 솔직하기만 하면 되고.
★ 성공과 실패의 차이가 줄어든다…그저 행복하기만 하면 되고.
그런데, 왜 예수님과 나의 성품의 차이는 줄어들지 않는 것일까…
“백합화를 생각하여 보라 실도 만들지 않고 짜지도 아니하느니라 그러나 내가 너희에게 말하노니 솔로몬의 모든 영광으로도 입은 것이 이 꽃 하나만큼 훌륭하지 못하였느니라.
Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.” (누가복음 12:27 Luke)
Whether it’s good or bad, there are some things diminishing in difference as my age is increasing.
★ The difference between delicious food and yucky food is diminishing…just healthy food.
★ The difference between big house and small house is diminishing…just comfortable house.
★ The difference between luxury car and economic car is diminishing…just reliable car.
★ The difference between world travel and local travel is diminishing…just McDonald’s.
★ The difference between celebrity and regular folk is diminishing…just being nice.
★ The difference between pastor and lay person is diminishing…just being honest.
★ The difference between success and failure is diminishing…just happiness.
But then, why is the difference between Jesus and me not diminishing…
